Itinerary

    This three-hour tour is an excellent introduction to the lesser-known food traditions, local institutions, and authentic cuisine of Braga. Your adventure begins at the Arco da Porta Nova in Braga, where you will meet your guide and get ready to embark on a journey of culinary discovery.

    The tour comprises a small group of 2–10 travellers, giving you an opportunity to mingle with people from different parts of the world. Throughout the tour, you'll make several stops and taste some of the best traditional Portuguese tidbits known as petiscos.

    Your first stop includes a tasting of Portuguese cheese from three different regions, followed by a visit to a local bar to try out the famous Bifana, a juicy sandwich based on pork meat. In addition, you'll also taste the Gizzard with tomato and spices, an exotic dish made from the hind part of a chicken's stomach known as Moela.

    The exploration continues with a visit to another local spot where you'll try out the delicious Bolinho de bacalhau, crispy codfish cakes, and patanisca de Bacalhau, a fried snack made from shredded codfish. Satisfy your sweet tooth with a stop at a chocolate shop, where you will savour three different types of chocolate.
