What you’ll do

You’ll join one of our local Rome hosts to explore Italy’s diverse wine regions, without ever setting foot outside of Rome. Wander through the cobbled streets and stop at a handpicked venue, where you’ll sample a different wine accompanied by traditional Roman specialties. Learn how to pair wine with food as you sip on six selected red and white wines and nibble on Prosciutto, specialty cheeses and olives, discovering a variety of places like a subterranean wine cellar, an artisanal cheese shop and the buzzing terrace of a wine bar. Within 24 hours after booking you'll receive a short questionnaire about your personality and interests. Based on your responses, you'll be assigned a like-minded host. Your host will communicate with you directly to suggest an itinerary to help you discover what makes the city unique. You will also agree on a meeting time and place. Your itinerary is flexible, so during the experience, you can always change your mind about what you want to do.

Sample 6 red and white wines from the region, paired with food specialties which can change depending on the availability of seasonal ingredients - this is the real deal! Visit a wine tasting studio like the Vino Roma in the heart of Rome, minutes away from the Colosseum

IMPORTANT: As this is a private and personalized experience, the places you visit may differ from those listed and these will be chosen by your host based on your interests and preferences

Visit a unique Roman Trattoria near trendy Trastevere and enjoy a glass of wine and learn a little about how it was made

You could visit Vino Roma in Monti where your host will share with you the secrets of how food and wine are traditionally paired, and how and why wine is part of the local culture

Stroll through the city center, taste some of the best wines and indulge in some renaissance art as you pass the church of St. Maria del Popolo where two famous paintings by Caravaggio hang.

Toss a coin into the Trevi fountain while you immerse yourself in Rome’s wine culture, flitting between wine bars or choosing to settle in at one you love
