Itinerary
1
The absolute must-do for Athens first-timers and travelling foodies!
2
Indulge in a gastronomical adventure and explore the best-kept culinary secrets of Greece with our expert guide.
3
Begin by following your dedicated food expert to our favorite local bakery. Savor the delicate crunch of phyllo pastry in a scrumptious spanakopita with creamy feta cheese. Be mesmerized by the "dough show" as the traditional bougatsa is made before your very eyes, each layer stretched thin with deft skill, like pizza tossing, but magnified five-fold.
4
Uncover the hidden gem of Athens - the oldest coffee roaster, where quality beans and time-honored techniques combine to create signature Greek coffee. Watch in awe as coffee is prepared on hot sand - a 500-year-old technique that originated in the desert before it was immortalized in this cultural staple. The rich, aromatic coffee is served in a small cup with a thin layer of bubbly foam on top, known as "kaimaki," to seal in the flavors.
5
Discover an authentic Greek deli and meet the hospitable family behind it, treating our guests as friends. Relish a glass of Greek wine or spirits before embarking on a journey through Greece's exquisite feta, graviera, olives, and cold-cuts. Be sure to try "pastourma," a delicious air-dried cured beef delicacy, reminiscent of prosciutto.
6
A true gastronomic adventure in Greece would be incomplete without a taste of its original Greek yogurt. Be amazed by the real deal, an undisputed highlight of our culinary walk.
