What you'll do

Gastronomic, spiritual and historical discoveries in a group trip to the blessed land You will find a trip rich in impressions in the east of Georgia, in the Kakheti region. The sunny Alazni Valley, the ancient Bodbi Monastery rising above it, the Italian streets of Sighnaghi, the long wall of the castle, you will visit Telavi from where it is covered by the beautiful Caucasus Mountains. Georgian traditional church and shoti (bread) master classes. The taste of Georgian dishes and - Kakheti is not Kakheti - wine. Get ready to enjoy, listen, try and take lots of pictures! Viticulture traditions and tasting You will find yourself in the homeland of winemaking: (which is included in the list of intangible heritage of UNESCO), about the peculiarities of the pitcher's machine and types of Georgian wine. Enjoy the taste of red Kakheti: taste 5-6 types of free wine (also cognac and chacha).

    Ushba Travel Central Office, where you can meet in the morning at 08:45

    First stop after 40 minutes, Kakhuri traditional church site where you will get a master class on how the Kakhelis make the church, as well as wine and chacha tasting.

    On the way we will see Georgian bread baked by Master Class (Shoti). Cheese made according to Georgian traditions.

    in the Bodbe monastery, where the great Georgian saint - Nino rests. Here you will follow the Christian path of Georgia and find out the legend about why Nino was buried in Bodba. You can plunge into the healing waters of the holy spring and, perhaps, hear the prayers of many, many generations of believers.

    little Italy and big lunch The warm and cordial nickname of Sighnaghi “the city of love” appeared by right: here you can get married at any time of the day and here the artist Niko Pirosmani strewn flowers for the beloved (the song “Million Scarlet Roses” about this story). You will walk along the streets in the Italian style, see the longest fortress wall in Europe and enjoy the panoramas of the Alazani Valley.

    We will visit the palace of King Erekle II in Telavi. The tour in Telavi is ideal for those who want to enjoy the beautiful views, medieval monasteries, royal palaces and visit the wine-producing region.

    The 900-year-old chador tree in Telavi is our symbol.

    And what makes this tour unique, you will visit the wine cellar on the Gombori road near Telavi, overlooking the Caucasus Mountains, where you will taste several types of Georgian traditional wine. (Wine tasting is free) and you can also visit the restaurant of your choice, where you can taste dishes made according to Georgian Kakhetian traditions. (Dance and sing to get full pleasure in the wine cellar).

    Return back to Tbilisi through Gombori pass where the highest peak is 1620 meters. Our last stop in Tbilisi will be at Maidni Mazar in old Tbilisi, near the central office of Ushba Travel.
